What a great word, one of the best I think for me anyway. Thats how I felt when I discovered craft!
I started with cross stitch, but soon got bored making all those little crosses. Then an elderly friend introduced me to Stumpwork. How great is it! I love it and often revisit this craft for a relaxing and enjoyable change. Then she showed me how to knit with beads.... need I say more. Beautiful porcelain dolls wearing gowns laden with tiny beads and crystals. Those very thin knitting needles and me not even a knitter!. From there to a love affair with beads. So many to chose from and where to begin and end! So i ended up having a shop full of them. I began to dabble with paper crafts through a group of ladies "The Holy Cows". My best friend affectionately known as my little sister then showed me card making. So beading ends and stamping and papercrafts begin. I signed up to become a Stampin Up! demonstrator in August 2010 and hope to show you some great examples of my work. My very tolerant husband has allowed me to convert a room in our house to my craft room and has patiently put up shelves, bought in storage units, given me tools and listened to me rabbit on and on about my plans for overtaking the house!! He has quite often had to remind me to feed him and the pack of poodles and when I crawl into bed after gazing at so many internet sites in the wee small hours, he lets me sleep in.
So I say lets do some stamping and creating. This weekend I am off to the Launceston Stampin Up! seminar and look forward to meeting some new people, stamping with the new stamps and learning new techniques. Then I am off to Swansea for a 3 day CWA state conference where I will also teach some beading, and drink endless cups of tea and chin wag with friends.
So until later fellow stampers........have many serendipitous moments til we meet again.
Lottie is the chocolate girls with the doleful eyes and she is resting on Zephyr, our little stud boy. The pen in the background is housing a little of tiny poodles. The dogs like to sit on the back of my chair and that way they can survey all the own!!!
